Don't Make Me Call The Flying Monkeys

Ok, it's Thanksgiving and I'm cooking. Not everything, just enough to give me anxiety hives.

So, look. I've got a turkey baster and I know how to use it. Stay out of my way until everything's out of the oven or I won't be responsible.

*I'm much better around a keyboard than around an oven*

Be grateful that you have an oven. Your Thanksgiving posts have sent me into fits of nostalgia (and given me a burning desire to rip out all the loud speakers in the city piping in Chrismas music) in a town with no Thanksgiving, no turkeys, and certainly no ovens.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving for those of us who can't have one.

for once i am thankful that there is an ocean and continent between us: you sound like a (turkey-baster-wielding) force to be reckoned with

i'm afraid...

I'm sure everything is going to be wonderful, M!

You'll appreciate this: I was charged with making ONE THING: my famous apple cake. I left out vanilla and baking powder. You should have hearrrrrd, the worrrrrds, that were coming outa my mouth. Or, probably not. I'm sure they'll love the sugar-free apple pie I picked up at Perkins.

I know yours will be wonderful.
Love you!
XOXO

I don't think women in the UK could cope with TWO festivals so close together that require so much cooking. Let alone festivals that require spending time with their extended families. LOL!
