Applause for Rep. John Murtha, D-Pennsylvania
Who has the courage to say what so many Democrats have failed to say: The Iraq War is "flawed policy wrapped in illusion" and it's time to get our soldiers out.
And applause for former Marine Colonel John Murtha, Vietnam veteran, who has the courage to call out our vice-president, who never served a day in the Armed Forces in his life.
The U.S. deserves better governance than the individuals who conceived -- and send young Americans to fight -- this ill-advised war. Bring our soldiers home.

Yup, I was really pleased that he's speaking up.

Bravo! My husband was calling this to my attention today.
This is a good man to speak out. I don't know how they can disrespect him. But of course, they will.

I am totally with you on this. Not only are the innocent residents being devastated in the middle east but our own people are suffering terribly. There is so much ugliness and injustice in this war.

I'm SO torn up about this, M!! The idea of leaving Iraq in such horrible shape makes me want to weep and vomit. And yet we're doing so little good for them and much harm to us by being there.

My husband and I have had long discussions about the relative morality of leaving. By opening this can of worms, we created another Beirut ... and we exacerbate it by our presence every second. (these are my thoughts) My husband is more measured but hates the idea of any more American blood spilled on behalf of this failed enterprise. No one wins here, any more than anyone won in Vietnam. When will we learn? xoxo

Just a little comment about the artist who made the poster whom illustrate your post. Jean-Michel Folon was a great belgian artist, well known all around the world. He died not long time ago and i was in shock to learn his death. God bless his spirit.
