A Talmudic Thought

Rabbi Marc Gellman, quoting the Talmud in the current edition of Newsweek:

“Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears."

"The woman came out of a man’s rib: Not from his feet to be walked on. Not from his head to be superior, but from the side to be equal. Under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved.”

:D

A man sure wrote Genesis, didn't he? Showing a man giving birth to a woman instead of vice versa! That is just plain silly. Tut tut.

close to his heart, so it is easy to reach in and pull it, still beating, from his chest and dance on it?
Not that I would do such a thing, just a hypothetical question you see.

oooooooh, some of these comments put me in such a deleting mood. Like, if I wasn't just so convinced that free speech is the way to go ... you know what I mean?
