Too bad you didn't have a Vonnegut sighting.
He's flown alright.

Farewell to a great human.
TLP, do you suppose his soul is stuck up on the roof somewhere?

Doug: Soul? Did you see footprints on the ceiling? Do souls have soles?

TLP, I'm just recalling a couple years back when you described a Frisbetarian.

good bye to the most normal man.
and what would you have done if you'd met him?

Ariel! Excellent question. He would have fallen in love with my callow 20 year old self, I would have been his trophy college girlfriend and, under his tutelage, heh, I would have written all the books that Tom Robbins ended up writing. I would now live in La Conner, Wa and have my own callow 20 year old protege, um, a male, who worships the very ground I write on. There. xoxo

fair is fair, Mireille, he lost a lot that day! :)
and I could now tell you about how much I love his writings, how much comfort it was to know that there was at least one man still had his heart and brain in days when the whole world seemed to silently go crazy, and you'd smile but think, 'one more drooling over the old fart, blah.', as wives, lovers and proteges are supposed to do. :-P

Ariel, that was a terrific eulogy. I bet he'd have picked that one.

Not about Kurt Vonnegut, but about YOU, you sweet, generous thing. The Milky Ways disappeared immediately, the samples got dribbled all over my bare forearms and fingers, and the book is keeping me busy at night. *mwah!*

awwww. xoxo
