Aladdin - I don't suppose there's a genie in that thermos bottle is there?

My mom still has her old Gunsmoke thermos from way back when, when they used to use glass inside for insulation. Too bad the lunchbox bit it a long time ago.

No WAY did you have a perm in third grade!

When my dad saw Dvorah's lunch box, he said "They don't make them out of metal any more?" I said no. Mom said probably because of rust. I said it's because they can be fashioned into shivs and used in the lunch room.

Well, I think you were stylin'.
Except wait, you didn't wear a blue and green plaid skirt while carrying that lunch box did you? Er... I'm sorry. I have to retract the stylin' statement. That was a faux pas dear. But you were young. I know you wouldn't do that now.

I had the Toni Home Permanent and the plaid accoutrements, but my socks were white. I had the plaid book satchel, too. Saddle shoes were also indispensable in my world--I even made my firstborn daughter wear them when she was that age. She, thank God, still speaks to me.
