Geezer Rock

Apparently the Stones still have them, well into their sixties ... as they inaugurated their latest world tour Bigger Bang in Boston tonight. Among the songs on the tour album:

Sweet Neo Con
"You call yourself a Christian/
I call you a hypocrite/
You call yourself a patriot/
well I think you're full of shit ..."

To whom could they be addressing this tart admonition?

I seriously don't care about their "statements" anymore. They're doing MORTGAGE LENDING commercials now. That freaks me right out - even worse than seeing a Ramones song in a cell phone commercial.

Yes they are geezers aren't they? Keith Richards looks more like a cadaver than living human.

Well, kudos to them for continuing in their passion for music....Or maybe they need MORE money?

And I think its in the job description of rockers to take pot-shots at the 'establishment' so hopefully the supreme commander of the US won't decide to drop a bomb on them.

There is something seriously uncomfortable about grandfathers prancing on stage as if they were still 30 something (20 something being long gone). Sadly doing it for the "art" only lasts until the money starts rolling in. And really, artist's should change, grow and the Stones have been the Stones forever. Nothing new there. Of course if anyone gave me front row tickets I'd be right there at their 50th farewell concert. And oh no - there's a Ramone's cell phone commercial. Is Bruce going to be next?

Ah, well, they do look dead don't they?

I can't imagine who they might be singing about. LOL. Hope it's our Georgie Porgie.
