my occasional musings on life, love, art, perfume ... what else is there?

Are You Experienced?

And would I be any different today if I wasn't?
(I grin when someone younger than me earnestly explains the value of expanding one's consciousness. Heh.)

Aw. I tend to try to avoid grinning, lest I give away that I am laughing inside my head :P It's too hard to explain to some folks, especially if they fall within a certain age range, that sometimes we try things in order to fail within the scope of hindsight. Somehow I don't think I'm the lesser for find any drug I've tried less consciousness-expanding than simply living. Okay, so I was admittedly always skeptical about the whole proposition even when I was a teenager. But trying to explain any of that without a stray giggle about the humor of your own perspective can be an odd challenge, heh! Hmmm.... Which grew my consciousness more, a life-threatening situation... or LSD? Gosh, I just couldn't possibly say which one gave me more growth and insight. Hehehe. Ah well, that's a really nice part about getting older: Your own youth seems all the more humorous when reflected back at you by the youth of others.
