my occasional musings on life, love, art, perfume ... what else is there?

6.18.2006

In Theory, Yes.

To every man who took the role seriously, who was there when your child needed you, who made sure your child was free from want, free from fear...
To the real fathers, who made it about much more than insemination, whoever you may be ...

Happy Father's Day.

Fitting tribute. As someone who is grateful that her dad was pretty much the only stable entity in the house, Father's Day has real meaning.

Um, grateful that he was a stable entity, not grateful that he was the ONLY stable entity... you understand.

as someone blessed with a wonderful step-father (after the death of my father when i was 7) i find this a lovely sentiment.

as someone blessed to have married an amazing man nearly 21 years ago, who adored and cared for my 2 sons as if they were his own... i find this a fitting and wonderful tribute!

thank you for so aptly expressing what's in my heart! xoxox
