my occasional musings on life, love, art, perfume ... what else is there?

Within You Without You

We were talking - about the space between us all
And the people - who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion
Never glimpse the truth - then it's far too late - when they pass away.

We were talking - about the love we all could share - when we find it
To try our best to hold it there - with our love
With our love - we could save the world - if they only knew.

Try to realize it's all within yourself
No one else can make you change
And to see you're really only very small,
And life flows on within you and without you.

We were talking - about the love that's gone so cold and the people,
Who gain the world and lose their soul
They don't know - they can't see - are you one of them?

When you've seen beyond yourself - then you may find, peace of mind,
Is waiting there - And the time will come when you see
We're all one, and life flows on within you and without you.

The Beatles

Today's fragrance: Well, it would have to be Rich Hippie Wild Thing, wouldn't it? *measures out three drops* Indian jasmine, Albanian orris root (providing a faint violet scent) and Egyptian rose. A natural high.

The most important line to me is the one that states

Life flows on within you and without you...

Wild thing! I love that song. And, still have to try that scent. But, I think I've had about enough of through the roof, expensive frags!

I never listen to song lyrics, except those written by Leonard Cohen or a few French "auteurs-compositeurs". It's a fault, I know; I just like tunes more. LOL!

I like so-called "world music" best: I don't have to feel guilty about not listening to the lyrics since they're usually in a language I don't understand.

Love the Beatles. :-)

I'm a Beatlemaniac... thanks for this! Congrats on your first brief, too.

I'm with AP3 - love the Beatles. I'm trying to convert some of my students, but it's a hard sell.
