Dear Jill,

I have been following the news stories on you. I cannot fathom what you are going through. There is an ache I feel, I think all who know of your ordeal feel it too... the injustice, the insanity, the randomness of an act where someone may choose to take another's life and this barbaric act, thought, way of life has your face on it. If only we could reach out and bring that banner down, put an end to it all! Where are you???? Be safe, be well, please! Wishing I could save you...

Mireille, the truth resonates in that quote. It absolutely is applicable with Jill Carroll's plight as well.

I'm hoping that they are treating her not-so-bad. *crossing fingers*

I have been watching CNN and I don't feel that G.W. will compromise in any way. Sinking feeling that I have.
Did you hear her mother's plea?
A very civilized approach I thought to such... people.

Tomorrow is the deadline for someone's life.
How do you put a date on someone's being?

A true journalist who lived with Iraqi families and spoke fluent Arabic. The hostage-takers picked a very sympathetic target. Even the Sunni clerics are calling for her release. Strange, strange situation...who took her I wonder??
